On this beautiful Laika Kreos, we installed a complete Victron Energy system, with two brand-new 200Ah next-gen batteries, managed by two Links distributors (one input and one output), four MPPT regulators for the solar panels, an Orion XS to properly charge the service batteries, a 3000A Multiplus-II, and the brain of the entire system, the Cerbo GX, to which all the camper's appliances were connected.
The new Victron Energy next-gen batteries offer even more advanced technology thanks to digital BMS communication and vibration certification.
Based on a Man TGM 13.290, we equipped it with a 12V and 24V lithium system from Victron Energy B.V., perfect for ensuring a constant power connection, even on the most extreme adventures, like desert dunes!
On this special vehicle, we installed three 200AH 24V lithium batteries, two 3000mAh Multiplus-II batteries, an MPPT, two Orion Smart Solar Chargers, and the new Links Smart BMS system.
In total, we provided the MAN with 6 kW of power, making it completely autonomous and self-sufficient, thus ensuring months, if not years, of unrestricted range for this overland vehicle.
We've significantly upgraded the electrical system on this MAN TGM 13.290. Traditional fuses have been replaced with resettable circuit breakers, separated by current type and dedicated to each user, improving safety and management.
The two MultiPlus systems have been separated to optimize power consumption at the charging station: one is controlled by the Cerbo, the other by the MultiControl.
Finally, to increase energy autonomy, we installed 1.5kW of solar panels divided into three modules, each with a dedicated regulator.
This comprehensive upgrade takes the vehicle to a higher level of efficiency and reliability.
Thanks to two lithium batteries, solar panels, an inverter with charger, and the Cerbo Gx control unit, which manages everything, we have significantly increased the energy independence of this beautiful Knaus.
This energy system provides the vehicle with safe, lightweight, and long-lasting energy storage.
The inverter with charger converts 12V to 220V and charges the batteries from an external grid.
The Cerbo GX is a control unit that allows you to monitor the status of the batteries, panels, inverter, and loads in real time. You can control everything from the touchscreen display or remotely via the Victron Remote app.
LITHIUM SYSTEM INSTALLATION
Lithium battery system installation for a customer who trusted us to maximize their energy autonomy.
It boasts a 300Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, 90Ah charging capacity while on the move, 80Ah charging at a charging station, and a series photovoltaic system that allows the Truma Aventa Comfort air conditioning to operate for 4 hours with the camper off.
All managed by home automation, of course.
Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries are among the safest of traditional lithium-ion batteries. The nominal voltage of an LFP cell is 3.2V (lead acid: 2V/cell).
